Nobscot Gallery

The gallery is a small section of the book store used to display the works of local artists and artisans.

In order to provide continued interest, the exhibits are changed regularly, usually on the first Sunday of the month. These openings are marked by an artist's reception, at which the artist will usually be present to discuss their work.

Notification of forthcoming exhibitions are sent out by Email, so leave your email address (contact)  if you wish to be included.

Countryside in Felt

featuring

Jini Foster

Jini visits my old country, England  much more regularly than I. Whenever she returns from one of those trips, she always comes by the store and tells me how the hawthorn (may) was in bloom, or of a dale of bluebells that she discovered. She photographs them, and shows me the photographs, which make me homesick. Then she goes one step further, she creates exquisite landscape pictures form the photographs using coloured felts that she has made herself. This must take an age, and is obviously a labour of love. The results are marvelous

Jewelry

We are very pleased to be able to feature costume jewelry from three local crafters..

Sandy DeHart has been exhibiting her hand-made jewelry at the store for nearly 6 years. She uses high quality stones and beads in a multitude of vibrant colors to produce a simple, but exciting range of jewelry. Beautiful necklaces, frequently with matching bracelets and earrings are rotated frequently on the display boards. Sandy is often in the store, and can discuss custom requirements and produce the desired pieces to order.

Robin Kilduff  In addition to a wide selection of hand-crafted jewelry, Robin has a wide range of hand decorated cards for all occasions.

Stacey Kohler. Multi-talented Stacey (she is also a Reiki master and hypnotherapist) delights in making bracelets and necklaces using the most intricate of beading patterns. She also gives lessons.
